Engineering is a broad discipline and has many aspects, but primarily deals with the acquisition and application of different technical, mathematical and scientific knowledge to successfully design and implement all the structures, systems, and processes to create the objective, whether machine, system, infrastructure, etc.

In a nutshell, engineering exists to apply different principles of physics and mathematics to find solutions, optimize, come up with improvements to the existing conditions. This means that because the conditions constantly change, engineers have to constantly learn new principles, solutions, and knowledge as well to keep up with the changing times.

There are a number of branches in engineering, the most common of which are civil engineering that involves the construction of different public and private infrastructures, the most common of which include railways, bridges, buildings and roadways.; industrial engineering that deals with the optimization of different systems and processes to make sure that all the facets of a business are working properly; electrical engineering that deals with the design, study, development, and improvement of different electrical systems which may range from the smallest electrical circuits to the biggest telecommunications companies; mechanical engineering which deals with the design of different machines and equipment such as compressors, different engines, powertrains, and more; chemical engineering which involves the utilization of different chemical processes to come up with new materials and fuels as well as carry out already existing major chemical processes.
