PART TIME Network Administrator

PART TIME Network Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Implement and maintain IT infrastructure and related system software, hardware and utilities to ensure an effective and efficient systems environment
• Perform maintenance and administration of network (router, firewall, load balancers, switches) and servers
• Perform regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
• Responsible for managing a local area network (LAN) and/or wide area network (WAN) and providing assistance to the network users
• Monitor network stability and activity.
• Making recommendations for additional resources and equipment, as necessary.
• Oversees network security, troubleshoots and fixes network failures.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting assistance
• Security management and intrusion prevention, maintain device log sheets for all applicable network devices, maintain a network cabling, labeling scheme, maintain computer and network security policies
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
• Administration and support for Windows and Linux PC and servers
• Install, configures , administers, and maintains personal computers, windows networks, workstations, file servers , systems, network cabling and other related equipment , devices
• Investigate user problems , identifies their source , determines possible solutions , tests and implements solutions,
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree or higher in Information Technology , Computer Science , ECE or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience managing and designing Network Infrastructure and Administration
• Strong working knowledge of many of all the following specific technologies:
Windows 7 , XP , Mac , OS, DNS , DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN / WAN, Network Security , Windows Server active directory administration , system monitoring tools , server and desktop hardware installation and maintenance
• Thorough working knowledge of IT operations in an office environment
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills
• Willing to work on a Part-time Basis
